Mail Services offices will close on December 24 and reopen on January 5, 2026. 

If you require mail services during this time we are happy to accommodate. Please email your request for services, including date and time, to iumail@iu.edu by December 19. Mail Services will not have couriers to deliver or pickup mail during the holiday break, if you need metered mail processed during the break you must contact Mail Services to make arrangements, and have the ability to bring the mail to the IU Warehouse.

Arrangements must be made in advance for services during this period, and Campus Mail will only be available to process metered mail. 

Accountable mail

The Accountable Mail courier will not be operating during this period. The Office of the Bursar will be closing at the end of the business day on December 23 and will be closed during the break. The Bursar will reopen January 5, 2026. Departments should plan accordingly and have all deposits and change orders requested by Monday, December 22 for delivery on Tuesday, December 23.

The Bursar’s office will not process cash receipts during this period. Cash receipts will be held in the safe, and will be processed and entered in KFS when they reopen on January 5.

Pickup requests intended for delivery to the IU Foundation need to be made by 4pm on December 22 to ensure delivery for deposit on the calendar year end.

For any deposits received during this period that are not sent by the listed deadline, please keep all documentation (including postmarked envelopes) and send it once service resumes on January 5.

Please note: All checks for the year 2025 must be sent to the IU Foundation by January 14, 2026.
